You and I both know that instilling virtue is a challenge. Our society has lost it’s virtuous values. We seem to be in a manner-less rude trend and well, our children are subjected to it making our job to instill quality virtues very difficult. We Choose Virtues has made our jobs a bit easier.
Over the last few weeks I have been blessed to use the We Choose Virtues Parenting Cards in our home. These help me find learning moments in our everyday lives, to help instill virtues that need extra work. What I love about these cards, is they walk a parent through few steps to help them guide their children as they learn the virtue.
How I am using the We Choose Virtues Parenting Cards
I pick a virtue each week or two (depending on improvement in our family) to work on. We read through the card every day, and then I find some stories from some of our other books to read each day. We work on memorizing a verse or two to go with each virtue through the week.
Another way I use the We Choose Virtues Parenting Cards, is to look at a few of them each morning before my children get up. It helps refresh me for the day, to help prepare for those”virtue lacking moments”.
