Homeschool Snips and Tips Wednesday~March 9~Homeschooling through Big and Little Trials

There was no time this weekend to prepare for our school week. Nor was it ever really on my mind. However, that doesn’t mean that we are completely taking the week off. I just had my two oldest work on Math drills. We have a wall map of the US on our wall. I have found my children quizzing each other over where different states are, what city is in what state and so forth. So, as they say, I am not going to sweat the small stuff, as my children are taking care of school on their own.

They are reading books, watching Netflix movies pertaining to science, and history, quizzing each other, and learning that when someone is sick, they are to help out.

In the end I doubt anyone will care that we will be having two weeks of spring break. It was planned to be one, but one of the huge blessings of homeschool is being able to adjust schedules as needed to tend to things that really matter…a sick baby sister in this case.

I am sure when everything settles back down around here, we will be ready for the daily structure that our homeschool days provide. In the mean time, though I am going to relax and enjoy a bit of freedom in our schedules and routines, and above all enjoy the quality time of just relaxing with my children and cuddling and snuggling while reading, talking and watching movies.
