Its Ruler Magic? Its Amazing Measurement? No, Its Master Innovations.

As part of the TOS Crew, I have been able to review the Master Ruler from Master Innovations. These came just in time for both of my older children who were just starting a measurement unit in their math lessons.

For our review, we received the Master Ruler Metric ($9.95) , The Master Ruler Standard ($9.95), The Master Ruler Workbook ($15.95), and Marvels of Measurement Poster ($10).

These rulers, have a layer of measurement for each unit. For example there is a layer for inches, a layer for half inch, layer for quarter inch. They are each 12 inches long, bound together (think like a spiral book). This makes it very easy for your child to tell which unit they are using. Each layer is clear with different colors printed for the different units. Check out the videos of these rulers in use here.

The twenty-one page workbook is written for both standard and metric use. It has very nice black and white pictures for the student to measure. Most pictures have a line indicating the exact area they should be measuring. Students will get a brief introduction to area and perimeter too. Students also will practice learning to measure distances on a map. The workbook is meant to be used along side their regular math curriculum.

I found these rulers to be very helpful in helping my students learn the different units of measurement and how they units fit within each other. My children also enjoyed going around the house and measuring different items. These rulers are a very helpful way to help teach children how to properly measure.

Master Innovations also has helpful items for fractions, time, and angles.

Join in this weeks Homeschool Snips and Tips Wednesday.

As part of the TOS Crew, I was given the above mentioned items in return for my honest review. I will receive no further compensation.

Thanks for this review on the Master Ruler. I hadn’t heard of this before and it looks quite unique. I homeschool my children and am always looking for ‘helpful’ tools.

I love the look and feel of your website! When I have more time I’ll have to come back and visit again.

    Cheers,

    Maddy
