There is one place to be in March if you are a Christian Homeschool parent, and I get to be there.
Where
Spartanburg, South Carolina
at the
Teach Them Diligently
Convention
“And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart and with all thy soul and with all thy might. And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart. And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and thou shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes.” - Deuteronomy 6:5-8 KJV
Have you checked out the speaker list? Vendor List? Statement of Faith?
Did you see those three faces and names in that picture? Ken Ham, Dr. Voddie Baucham, and Doug Phillips? Yep, this is the place to be. The Homeschool convention of all conventions. The place for encouragement, support, help, and to be humbled. The place you will find out how and where to improve upon the logistics of your family, through strong Biblical guidance.
As a rural homeschooling mom, I find that support and encouragement can be a bit hard to find. This convention is going to be full of the support and encouragement that those of us homeschooling find we need. Not only that, but some of my online friends will now become faces and voices I know. I have met so many other homeschool bloggers and well, there are many of these online faces who will be there!
David and Leslie Nunnery have become quick friends over the last 5 or so months. The real, opportunity to meet them, is well, OVERWHELMING. These are the two people behind the convention, taking care of all the details. I can’t wait to meet them and thank them for the opportunity to experience this convention!
Dr. Voddie Baucham is my own little Christian Homeschool Dad hero. He has just enough humor to keep your attention and tons of real life experience to help you know he is able to speak from his heart on the homeschool and Christian parent topics. I can’t wait to see and hear him again.
Ken Ham, never heard him speak, but so ready to.
Heather Laurie, I have known Heather for several years online, and even worked with her many times. In fact we are in the middle of a project right now. Any parent that questions their ability to homeschool needs to hear Heather.
Paula and Nancy from A Journey Through Learning. I will finally get to meet my bosses, and hang out with them at our booth. Come by and say hi!!
Will you be able to come? Get Registered for $40. While at the convention, I will be tweeting, Facebooking and blogging live, from my own personal, and my Peace blog accounts and the A Journey Through Learning accounts. So, if you aren’t able to go, you will be able to see what is going on.
Links to Accounts to follow during the convention:
I want to thank my sponsors, Teach Them Diligently and A Journey Through Learning for paying for my Convention registration, travel and hotel expenses. Use code feb30 at A Journey Through Learning on Downloads only through March 1.
If you are coming to the convention, come say hi at the A Journey Through Learning booth!!
Sounds like a great conference. Wish it was in my area! I’ve read Voddie Baucham’s book and I would love to hear him speak. Joanne BIschof recently posted..What Songs Move You?
Here I share about my world. My world as a stay at home homeschooling mother, christian, wife, woman, child of God. It is about my life as a farmer’s wife, as a cook, a baker, a nurse, a teacher, a woodworker, a housekeeper, a farmer (yep, I drive tractors, pick up hay bales, and other farm duties), a gardener. So, what you read here, is me, as a transparent sometimes hot headed, passionate, and opinionated person.
I hope a lot of people will enjoy the conference..Good luck!
