Upcoming Family Movie Night Choice

Basic Disclosure for all post

Our family loves a good movie. You know the ones the family can enjoy? During the winter months, we actually have time to watch movies as it gets dark early enough we are inside sooner. We typically have more than one Family Movie Night a week during the winter months.

Well, When the Game Stands Tall will be released on Dec. 9 on DVD ($19.99) and Blu-Ray ($24.99). Based on a true inspiring story, When the Game Stands Tall is a new sports drama, featuring football. Will a young player be able to help the coach rediscover and inspire the team to work as one through tragedy and crisis after their 151 game winning streak?

My boys are going to love this movie. With a houseful of boys we are always on the look out for football and sports related movies that show sportsmanship, character and Christian ethics.

When the Game Stands Tall is a true story about love, loss, friendship, and perseverance. A high school team sets a 151-game winning streak under the leadership of coach Bob Ladouceur. But when tragedy strikes, they must find it within themselves to get back up and push forward.

  1. My husband and I saw this at the dollar theater for our anniversary. It was WONDERFUL! I’m not into sports, but he is. We both think it’s the best sports movie we have seen. It was so inspiring!
Warning: do NOT see this movie without tissues! Yes, even hubby cried!
