Philip has been out hunting down the snakes, toads, frogs, salamanders and turtles. They are out, and we are having fun working with a Facebook group that is focused on these creatures in Kansas.

It is about my life as a farmer’s wife, as a cook, a baker, a nurse, a teacher, a woodworker, a housekeeper, a farmer (yep, I drive tractors, pick up hay bales, and other farm duties), a gardener. So, what you read here, is me, as a transparent sometimes hot headed, passionate, and opinionated person.

Animal lover! good for you! but I am afraid of the snake, really, no matter what size it is.
I found the Great Plains Toad pretty cute. I never touches a toad before.
The snake looks cute and harmless. But I don’t think so if I’m going to touch it. It sucks.
